The Fortress

The interiors tell the thousand-year history boasting vaulted ceilings, some with enchanting exposed brick, or rustic style ceilings with wooden beams, the floors are all paved in handmade terracotta tiles, while some walls preserve paintings and ancient altars. Meticulous restoration has created eight apartments within the villa, 16 bedrooms in total, along with the loggia, a studio/office and some rooms for storage use on the ground floor. In the basement, the former refectory is a banqueting room with three central arches with exposed brick and a fireplace, a perfect tavern equipped with a kitchen, access to the garden and a bathroom. The former barn, a slightly separate building, has been converted into two additional apartments, both housing two bedrooms.
